Americanah

Americanah follows Ifemelu and Obinze, who fall in love while in school in Nigeria but whose love is interrupted by Ifemelu's decision to continue her studies in America.  There, she faces both hardship and successes, and must confront for the first time the foreignness of America's concept of race.  Unable to join her in America, Obinze settles in London, where he faces a difficult road as an undocumented immigrant.  When chance brings them together again, old feelings arise and threaten to destroy the lives they built while apart.
